BMW Launches X3 xDrive 30i SportX In India, Priced at Rs 56.5 Lakh

BMW has launched the X3 xDrive 30i SportX in India, at an introductory price of Rs 56.5 lakh (Ex-Showroom). The luxury SUV is locally produced in India, at the company’s Chennai plant. It will be available at company dealerships, beginning today. This marks the launch of another locally produced car in the German auto maker’s profile.

During the launch, it was announced that customers who book the car online via BMW’s Online Shop before midnight, Feb 28 will be offered benefits worth up to Rs 1.5 lakh. The benefits include the BMW Service Inclusive Package as well as a curated BMW Package for accessories. The service package additionally covers all maintenance work including any Original Parts and oil requirements for three-years or 40,000 kms.

The accessories package adds the BMW Display key, a 2.5 PM air filter, LED door projectors and a universal wireless charger to the X3 xDrive 30i SportX.

BMW X3 xDrive 30i SportX:Design and Features

The SportX variant sports a striking design language, with a  bold and enhanced double kidney grille. LED headlights on the car come complete with extensions and the LED fog lamps feature a new hexagonal design. Towards the rear, the car is complemented with LED taillights, merged in symphony with a low-slung spoiler on the roof and chrome exhaust pipes.

Move to the inside and, it is another lavish affair. The interior of the SportX variant reflects comfort, but with a dynamic driver-orientation. The ‘X’ logo can be found embossed in chrome to both doors, as well as the centre console. The cabin meanwhile offers an experience resembling that of a couch, with optimised noise insulation, rear sunblinds and a panoramic sunroof. Furthermore, there is ambient lighting and a Welcome light Carpet, making the process of getting into the car a tad bit lavisher.

All of this level of panache carries forward to the feature set, with the car sporting a HI-FI Surround Sound system, Apple Car Play and Android Auto. The luggage compartment has a total space of 550 litres, which can be expanded up to 1,600 litres when the rear seat is folded.

BMW X3 xDrive 30i SportX: Power And Safety

In terms of the performance, the BMW X3 xDrive 30i SportX draws power from a two-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine, capable of producing 252 BHP and a maximum torque of 350nm. This is mated to an eight-speed automatic Steptronic sport transmission. This allows the car to shift its gears in collaboration with the engine, for maximum power and efficiency. All this combined allows the SportX to go from 0-100 km in just 6.3 seconds.

The SportX also comes with AWD, so that the car can handle all tricky situations thrown at it.  Adaptive suspensions, electronically controlled ‘Automatic Differential Brakes as well as extended ‘Dynamic Traction Control, Hill Start Assist and Hill Descent Control aid in the car’s journey to conquer everything in its path.

Safety is a key aspect of every car, especially when it comes from a German manufacturer. BMW provides six airbags, Attentiveness Assistance, Dynamic Stability, an electric parking brake with auto hold, side-impact protection, electronic vehicle immobilizer and crash sensor.
