Mercedes Drives In E-Class Long-Wheelbase Facelift, Priced at Rs 63.6 Lakh

Mercedes Benz India on Tuesday launched the Mercedes Benz E-Class long-wheelbase facelift for a starting price of Rs 63.6 lakh (Ex-Showroom). For those of you wondering, the sedan is available in five variants that come with three engine options to choose from.

Towards the exterior, the E-Class long-wheelbase facelift sports new headlamps as well as a new front bumper coupled with a wider three-slat grille with a chrome finish with chrome trims present on the fog lamp inserts. This provides a classy yet premium look to the company’s latest offering.

Moving to the rear, the car sees a new bumper design as well as slim tail lamps, resembling those of the bigger S-Class. New Alloys top off the looks quotient of the car.

 The colour options available for the E-Class LWB facelift include Polar White, High-Tech Silver, Obsidian Black, and Mojave Silver. Additionally, Selenite Grey and Designo Hyacinth Red are also available for a limited time period.

As for the interior, the E-Class facelift features two 12.3-inch screens, with the first one being an instrument cluster whilst the latter is for the infotainment system. There is also a new steering wheel that brings with it capacitive touch controls. The rear-centre armrest also sees a touchscreen complete with two USB ports for the rear passengers.

Other features include  Mercedes’ latest MBUX software. For other users, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity is also present., Mercedes’ Meconnect with Alexa and Google Home is another headlining feature.

Certain other such features are reclining rear seats, three-zone automatic climate control, two wireless phone chargers, a panoramic sunroof, full leather upholstery, air suspension, soft-close doors etc.

In terms of safety, the facelifted E-Class comes with seven airbags, ABS with EBD, brake assist, traction control, ISOFIX mounts, traction control, TPMS, front and rear sensors and a 360-degree parking camera.

For power, the car depends on three options, namely a 197hp, 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol in the E 200, a 194hp, 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel in the E 200d, and the top of the line 3.0-litre, straight-six diesel in the top-spec E 350d tuned to deliver 286hp. All three engines are paired to a 9-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

5) E350d: Rs 80.9 lakh
