Next Generation C-Class Mercedes To Debut on February 23, Complete With Multiple Changes

The new generation of Mercedes Benz’s C-Class sedan is scheduled to debut on February 23rd 2021. The car will get a world premiere on 23rd, with a long-awaited update finally being showcased.

Built on a newer version of the MRA platform, the new-gen C-Class sedan features a host of design-related changes to the exterior as well as new features inside the cabin.

As for the styling, the new version of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class sedan gets a design based evolution in comparison to the current model. The front is being revised, with angular LED headlamps.

Dimensions remain to be similar, however. The structure is now built of a high-strength steel and aluminium combination.

Other updates to the C-Class include a double-wishbone front as well as multi-link rear suspension, complete with adaptive damping. The new MRA structure is set to underpin the C-Class coupe, cabriolet, sedan, with the new GLC and GLC Coupe set to use the same structure.

Towards the interior of the car, the cabin comes with a host of updates, with an updated MBUX infotainment system. The driver pilot autonomous tech is also present on the new model.

As for the rivals, the new C-Class, which has been codenamed as W206 will be rivalling the likes of the BMW 3 Series, Jaguar XE and Audi A4. Mercedes-Benz India is going to introduce the car in India, but there is no specific timeframe as to when the update will debut in India.

For those of you wondering, a few weeks ago, Mercedes-Benz stated that it aims to launch 15 models in 2021 in India, with the new generation C-Class being one of them.
